Post Mastectomy, Lumpectomy, & Reconstruction Fittings!

We have partnered with a fellow bra fitter to offer Post Mastectomy, Lumpectomy, & Reconstruction Fittings!

We have seen a need for these services for women in our area for many years but did not have access to training. We are now able to partner with a fellow independent boutique owner and Bra Fitter, Jackie Keto, CFm. She will be traveling monthly to our boutique from the Albany area.

She earned her certification with The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics, Inc. in 2015, and is committed to providing the best mastectomy and lumpectomy services. Many of her services & products are covered by the major insurance providers.

No matter what type of Breast Cancer surgery (or combination of surgeries) you have had, regardless of how long ago, you are entitled to items to achieve comfort and symmetry. Many of these items are covered in full or partially by insurance.

Jackie’s product offerings include bras, prostheses, camisoles, swimsuits, and swim forms. She also offers Custom Breast Prostheses, molded to your unique chest wall.

Jackie's first day of appointments in our boutique will be August 28th.

Please let your family and friends who may benefit from these services know.

Appointments with Jackie must be made via phone so we can collect and verify referrals, prescriptions, and insurance. Please call Fierce…with Love at 315-834-7008 to schedule an appointment or for more information.

FAQs
How Soon after surgery can I get a fitting?
We suggest waiting approximately four to six weeks after your surgery to be fitted for a prosthesis and bra.  This will allow your body to heal completely.  If you still have: stitches, drains, drainage, scabbing, or swelling, then it is too soon for a fitting.
Do I need to bring anything with me?
First and foremost you need to bring your insurance card(s) with you.  Next you MUST get a prescription from your doctor that says:
Breast Prosthesis
Surgical Bras x4
This is not to say you must take that many bras. But it saves you having to ask your doctor for another prescription should you choose to take four.
What does my insurance cover?
Coverage varies by insurance plan.  Call us to inquire if Jackie takes your insurance and find out what is covered.  Copays are due at time of fitting.
MEDICARE COVERAGE: If medicare is your PRIMARY you can get ONE new prosthesis (per surgical side) ever TWO years.  You can also get up to twelve bras per year.
MEDICARE MEMBERS are responsible for their 20% copay at time of fitting
Please call us first to make sure we accept your insurance and to schedule an appointment.
